Privacy Policy

Who we are

EquipOnline, at equiponline.org, is owned and operated by Cypress Knee Resources, LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company in the United States. Questions about this policy or your personal information may be sent through the Contact form linked in the footer.

Information you provide

Contacting us

When you use our contact form, we receive your name, email address, message, and the church or group name if you provide it. The form sends your inquiry to our Gmail inbox through our WordPress hosting email service. We use this information to respond and maintain relevant correspondence. The form also uses a hidden spam field and a temporary, hashed representation of your IP address to limit repeated submissions. Please do not send confidential counseling details, financial information, or other sensitive personal information through public comments or general inquiries.

Free samples and email updates

The free sample is marked Coming Soon, and no email signup field is currently provided on the redesigned homepage. The contact form is separate from email subscriptions and does not sign you up for marketing updates. When email signup is enabled, this policy will be updated to identify the provider, the information collected, and how subscription preferences and unsubscribe requests are handled.

Comments

Where comments are enabled on our WordPress site, we collect the information shown in the comment form, your IP address, and your browser user agent to help detect spam. Approved comments and the display name you provide are public. Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

An anonymized string created from your email address (a hash) may be provided to Gravatar to see whether you use that service. After approval, your profile picture may be publicly visible beside your comment. See Automattic’s privacy policy.

Accounts and uploads

If you have a WordPress account, the information you provide is stored in your profile. You can view and edit your profile information, except your username; administrators can also access and edit it. If image uploads are enabled, avoid uploading images containing embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Other visitors may be able to download images and extract that information.

Technical information, cookies, and analytics

Website hosting and security services may process technical information such as IP addresses, requested pages, browser details, and access times to deliver the site, troubleshoot problems, and prevent abuse. The WordPress site is hosted by BigScoots. The separate design preview runs on ChatGPT Sites and is subject to that platform’s access and hosting practices.

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use EquipOnline, including pages visited, interactions, device and browser information, and general location. Google Analytics may use cookies and similar technologies to measure visits. For more information, see Google’s privacy policy. You can learn about Google’s browser opt-out tool at Google Analytics Opt-out.

WordPress may use these cookies where the corresponding features are enabled:

• Comment cookies can remember your name, email address, and website for one year if you choose that option.
• A temporary cookie checks whether your browser accepts cookies and is discarded when you close the browser.
• Login cookies last two days, or two weeks with “Remember Me”; display preference cookies last one year. Logging out removes login cookies.
• An article editing cookie identifies the post you edited and expires after one day.

You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect login and other features.

External services and Amazon purchases

The theme serves its font files directly from EquipOnline.

Journal purchase links take you to Amazon. Amazon handles checkout, payment, fulfillment, and information you provide on its website under its own privacy notice. EquipOnline does not collect your payment card information through these links.

Articles may include embedded videos, images, or other content from external websites. Those services may collect information, use cookies, and track interactions as though you visited their websites directly, including associating activity with an account if you are logged in. Their own policies apply.

How information may be shared

Information may be processed by providers that help operate the website, hosting, security, spam detection, and email correspondence, as needed for those functions. We may also disclose information when required by law or when necessary to address fraud, abuse, or threats to safety. Information you put in public comments is available to other visitors. Providers may process information in the United States or other countries.

How long information is retained

WordPress comments and associated metadata may be retained indefinitely to support moderation and follow-up discussions. Account information is retained while an account exists, subject to deletion requests and applicable recordkeeping needs. Inquiry correspondence is kept as needed to respond and maintain relevant records. Hosting logs and backups follow the relevant provider’s retention practices. Deleted information may remain in backups until those backups expire.

Your choices and privacy requests

You may use the Contact form linked in the footer to ask about information we hold about you or request access, correction, or deletion. We may need to verify your identity before acting. Some records may need to be retained for legal, administrative, or security reasons. Additional rights may apply depending on your location and applicable law. WordPress export and erasure tools cover information available to those tools; separate requests may be needed for information held by external services.

Security

No website, email system, or method of storage can be guaranteed completely secure. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information through general contact channels. If you believe information has been exposed or misused, contact us through the Contact form.

Children’s privacy

EquipOnline’s journals and website are intended for a general adult audience. If you believe a child has submitted personal information that should be removed, please contact us.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as website features and services change. The date above identifies the latest revision. Please review it periodically and contact us with any questions.
